What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy®(ART)?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy, commonly referred to as ART, is an evidence based psychotherapy that uses client-centered therapeutic directives with eye-movements (similar to those you experience when sleeping) to target memories and experiences that are negatively affecting your daily life and relationships. Many clients report experiencing rapid relief within 1 to 5 sessions.
Who is ART for?
ART is appropriate and beneficial for many mental and physical challenges including, but not limited to those experiencing
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Panic Attacks
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Sexual Abuse
- Substance Abuse
- Early Traumatic Experiences (abuse, neglect, abandonment, etc)
How does ART work?
ART combines multiple evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques to directly reprogram how painful or distressing images and memories are stored in your brain. When these memories and images are successfully reprocessed, they no longer activate intense emotional and physical reactions. With ART, you are able to keep the memory, but lose the pain.
