VCF – Victims Compensation Fund
The Victims Compensation Fund offers financial compensation to eligible persons who are victims of crime. Any victim who received emotional injury as a result of a crime such as: burglary, assault, DUI, hit and run, etc. is eligible for up to $10,000 in mental health benefits. This benefit also applies to survivors of someone who was killed as a result of a crime. Total Health Guidance is a state-approved treatment site for these benefits. Mental Health services are available for those that qualify for this program. Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer the Gardiner Scholarship (PLSA) for children with certain special needs. Up to $10,000 in annual health-care benefits are available to minor children with certain physical or mental disorders such as: Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disorders, and more. Total Health Guidance is a state-approved treatment site for these benefits.
Liz’s Legacy Scholarship
Liz Stokes worked as a counselor here at Total Health Guidance until her tragic and sudden death in 2015. The Liz Legacy Scholarship Fund has been established to provide counseling services for minor children (under 18 years of age) at a significantly reduced cost. Clinical Interns
While we are not a charity, Total Health Guidance does not turn anyone away for mental health counseling regardless of their ability to pay. Our licensed therapists do have a standard fee, however we have clinical interns that are available to see clients of any age at a significantly reduced rate.
