What makes Total Health Guidance different from other counseling centers / therapists?
THG has a unique team-based approach designed to help clients achieve sustainable relief and freedom in the most efficient manner. There is no therapist anywhere who is trained and certified in every possible therapeutic technique. Having a well-trained and diverse staff, we are equipped to provide all types of specialty services to those needing them. We also have developed a proprietary Root Cause Assessment which not only shows us why clients are experiencing the symptoms they are, but also provides us with the most effective techniques to treat each individual.
What insurance does Total Health Guidance accept?
Total Health Guidance accepts most commercial insurances and Employee Assistance Programs, including:

Total Health Guidance does not offer a sliding scale for services. However, we do offer scholarship rates for qualifying clients as determined by their assigned clinician.
What's the difference between a mental health counselor and a psychiatrist?
Mental Health Counselors and Clinical Social Workers, such as the providers at Total Health Guidance, are state-regulated clinicians who can provide therapeutic counseling. However, unlike psychiatrists, they cannot provide or prescribe medication to a client.
Who do you serve?
We serve all kinds of individuals regardless of gender, creed, race, religion, age, or sexual identity. We also see couples and families. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and provide a safe space for all. Our services can be offered in English, Spanish, and French.
What's the consultation call like?
We offer a 30-minute free consultation to ensure that we are a good fit for your clinical needs. This consultation will be mostly exploratory and educational in purpose and will not be a therapeutic session.
What if I live outside of Florida?
Most of our clinicians are only licensed in Florida. However, we provide life, business, and relationship coaching throughout the entire USA. Life coaching is not covered by insurance and coaches cannot assess, diagnose, or treat a mental health condition.
Do you have in-person or virtual mental health services?
We offer both in-person sessions at our office at 5401 S. Kirkman Rd, Suite 730, in Orlando as well as provide Telehealth sessions via secure video throughout the entire state of Florida.
What types of counseling services does Total Health Guidance offer?
We offer individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, and group counseling (depending on availability) for children, teens, and adults. Some of the methods used by our counselors include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Gottman Couples Therapy, Christian counseling, and many other approaches.
Do you offer mental health evaluations and/or assessments?
Yes, we offer ADHD and Autism evaluations for adults as well as Drug & Alcohol evaluations and Mental Health Assessments related to immigration hardship, V.A.W.A., Asylum, and U Visa petitions.
